We’re excited to announce that Airchains is officially joining the Chainlink BUILD program. As a part of BUILD, we aim to accelerate ecosystem growth and long-term adoption of application chains, zk-rollup technology by gaining enhanced access to Chainlink’s industry-leading oracle services and technical support, as well as incentivizing greater cryptoeconomic security, in exchange for a commitment to provide network fees and other benefits to the Chainlink community and service providers, including stakers.  

Our participation in BUILD furthers our integration with Chainlink, with added benefits of priority support from the Chainlink ecosystem, increased access to dApps needing to build their zk-rollup where Airchains would be acting as a settlement layer and stronger incentive alignment between the Chainlink and Airchains communities.

We’re confident that through enhanced support, secure off-chain services, and the backing of Chainlink’s vibrant community, we can accelerate awareness of Airchains and realize the adoption of a vibrant rollups ecosystem, with each dApp leveraging its own custom blockchain deployments for maximum programmability.

Airchains: Unlocking the Rollups Thesis

As the Web3 ecosystem evolves, it’s become clear that the current paradigm of multiple applications living on a single, monolithic blockchain can impede application innovation. The inherent design and scalability constraints on these blockchains have led many protocols—a prime example being dYdX—to move to their own rollups.

However, deploying a rollup from scratch, even with existing technology, is quite difficult, especially for developers who wish to leverage the benefits of decentralized technology without having a deep understanding of each blockchain’s technical architecture. Airchains solves this problem by providing Web3 project teams with the ability to easily spin up their own zk rollup on top of a variety of data availability and layer-1 blockchains, unlocking unparalleled modularity and a seamless blockchain deployment process through the use of modular zk rollups. This modular design maximizes the design space for projects to build any type of dApp—whether it’s account abstraction, DePin, a gaming project, a DeFi application, or an NFT ecosystem.

Why We Joined Chainlink BUILD

Airchains joined BUILD to maximize the benefits of security and reliability that Chainlink’s oracle infrastructure provides. As part of BUILD, Airchains will receive key benefits, including access to and integration of secure,  reliable, and decentralized market and data feeds that help power Airchains’ cutting-edge block explorer, verifiable on-chain randomness for gaming projects building with Airchains technology, and access to new Chainlink product alpha and beta releases, among other benefits. 

In exchange for these services, Airchains will make 3% of its native token supply available to Chainlink service providers, including stakers, over time. These mutually aligned economic incentives enable both communities to support one another.
